It is difficult to argue with the fact that Asian women look like flawless porcelain dolls: a miniature face, silky hair, smooth skin and perfect facial features. And they always look younger than their years! How do they do it?
Firstly, the residents of Asian countries are especially and very carefully take care of the skin – their care consists of several important stages (for Asian skin care trends, look here). And secondly, Asians have mastered the special tricks of makeup, which allows you to achieve not only the effect of a young and fresh face, but sometimes even change facial features beyond recognition.
BeautyHack found out all about the intricacies of Asian makeup and is ready to share the five main beauty secrets of Asian beauties.
Create the perfect face tone
The first and most important step in Asian makeup is leveling and creating the perfect skin color. The main task of this step is to make the face as flat as possible so that after it you can draw the desired relief.
To do this, first of all, even out the skin texture with a special base – it will hide the pores and smooth the skin to the maximum. Now, using a light-colored concealer, lighten the middle of the face – apply the product to the area of the forehead, nose, chin and under the eyes. Carefully blend the product with a wet sponge or a special brush. After that, even out the tone of the face using a cushion or BB-cream. Fix the result with loose powder.
Asian women prefer wide, thick and absolutely straight eyebrows. In their opinion, it looks very stylish and gives the face a little childish and naive expression.
To draw the maximum straight line of the eyebrows, highlight its base with shadows or special tinted lipstick and draw a line from it to the tail – so that the eyebrow is perfectly flat, you can use a regular school ruler. Fill the resulting shape with the desired shade of the shadows and carefully blend the color to make the eyebrow look as natural as possible. Fix the hairs with gel.
Change the shape of the nose
According to Asian fashionistas, the beauty of the face lies in its elegant and miniature features, so they try to adjust their natural data as much as possible. First of all, it concerns the nose – it should be thin and straight.
You can make your nose visually more elegant with powder of several shades. In a dark shade, draw two vertical lines on the sides of the nose and shade them so that the borders become invisible. After that, select the back of the nose with a light-colored powder, foundation, eye shadow or highlighter – the light line should be as wide as you want to visually give to your nose. It also blend to the disappearance of clear boundaries.
Do not forget to correct the oval of the face by highlighting it with a powdery dark shade or with a bronzer cheekbone – apply a color under the cheekbone to make the face look more relief (about the rules and errors of using bronzer, read here). And freshness will be given to the face by berry-pink or peach flowers. Their Asian women prefer to put on the apples of the cheeks and shade means towards the temples.
Choose peach eyeshadow and draw down arrows
To make the eyes appear especially expressive and doll-large, Asian women use lenses, and special pads are placed on the movable eyelid, which help to make the look more open. For women with a European eye cut, this step can be avoided and simply learn the proper makeup technique (10 facts about makeup that you didn’t know, look here).
So, for an expressive look, you need light flickering shadows – apply them as a base for a light glow of the eyelid skin. The next task of makeup is to give the skin around the eyes a healthy shade. Asians believe that it is peach shadows with a reddish undertone that can boast of such an effect. They need to highlight the outer corner of the eye, feathering the color along the upper and lower eyelashes until the middle of the century. Also peach shadows emit and fold the rolling century.
The second secret of the expressive make-up of Asian eyes is shine in the corners of the eyes or “artificial tears”. To do this, in the inner corner of the eye, apply a bright shimmering shade of shadows or highlighter – emphasize the line of the lower eyelid, from the corner to the middle of the eye. Such a trick will make your eyes visually bigger.
The arrows in the corners of the eyes of Asian women do not draw up, but down, so that the look seems naive and a little sad. Dry dark shadows are ideal for this – draw an arrow with them as close as possible to the ciliary edge, pointing it down. Such an eyeliner should look almost imperceptible, but give expression to the look.
And the last step in the makeup eye – thick and fluffy eyelashes. To give expression to the eyelashes, Asian women often resort to using false eyelashes. But you can twist the cilia with special tweezers, then apply mascara on them with a lengthening effect. And in order to make the cilia as voluminous as possible, after applying the first layer of mascara, powder them with a crumbly powder, and immediately after again paint it on.
Use berry lipstick
In order to always look young and fresh, Asian women choose lipstick makeup products that are as natural as possible: peach, strawberry, strawberry, watermelon and other ripe berries and fruits for makeup. As for the texture, it can be a translucent lip gloss or tint. Apply it should be, starting from the middle of the lips, shading the shade to the edges – it turns out the effect of rosy and as if kissed lips. And if you circle around the outline with a light pencil or concealer, they will appear visually plumper and more voluminous.
